The Central Leadership Team and the PTO planned an exciting school-wide writing project to support Central’s new writing initiative.
Author and teacher, Esther Hershenhorn, is leading writing workshops with all Central Students grades 3 – 5 April 16th, sharing the writer’s journey, and the reader/writer connection, inspiring our students as they work to create a grade-level book. Ms. Hershenhorn was at our school for the K – 2 graders on February 12.
Ms. Hershenhorn will highlight the philosophy of Regie Routman and her own experiences as a children’s book author. Her website is: www.estherhershenhorn.com. Her book S is for Story: A Writer’s Alphabet is available for purchase at the Book Fair. If you would like a signed copy, please buy a copy of her book at the book then bring it to the library on the 16th after the 11:30 dismissal for her to sign.
This residency is made possible through a generous grant from District 96 to support our Residency Programs.
