Turn off TV Week has some marvelous activities planned for this upcoming week:

Many of the activities have limited registration –Don’t miss out!!!

Ron Malchiodi from the Riverside Recreation Department will run a taste of theater with improvisation and performance techniques.
When: Monday April 19th
Where: Central TDPE gym
Time: 3:15 – 4:00pm
Fee: $2.00

Jennifer Sedivy from Focus Yoga Studio will run a taste of yoga
When: Wednesday April 21st
Where: Central TDPE gym
Time: 3:15 – 3:45pm

Anne Huston from Riverside Library will run “Signs of Spring’ Earth Day Craft. Celebrate Earth Day at the Library. Make a flower, butterfly or your own crazy critter. All ages’ welcome. Children under 6 need an adult present.
When: Thursday April 22nd
Where: Riverside Library
Time: 3-5pm
Fee: None
No registration required

Junior Girl Scout Troop 657 will run Fun Fair, all ages welcome
When: Friday April 23rd
Where: Central Main Gym
Time: 6:30-8pm
Fee: None
No registration required

Heather Hug from Riverside Arts Center will offer the following classes
When: Saturday April 24th
Where: Riverside Arts Center

10:00 – 10:30 am Soap Making
11:00 – 11:30 Potter Wheel Flower Pots
12nn- 12:30pm Extruded Clay Coil Creations
Fee: $5.00 per 30-minute session

Olmsted Society Work Day of Weeding, Contact Person Holly Machina, be sure to wear proper clothes for weeding. Families Welcome

Where: Miller Woods: Forest Preserve near Blackhawk and Riverside Rd
Time: 9am to 12nn

John Huston, a polar explorer who skied 480 miles to the North Pole in April 2009 with his expedition partner, each pulling 300 pound sleds will discuss this amazing journey. Children under 7 should be accompanied by an adult

Time: 7- 8pm
