Dear Central School Families:

Please remember that we have counselors on site today to assist the staff and children in processing the sad information about our loss. Attached is the copy of a very helpful article by the National Center for Crisis Management. The link to their website is included. This site is reputable and contains many resources.

Let us all keep Jeanie and her children in our thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,
Janice

No School Friday October 1

Posted Sep 30, 2010 | Category: Community

This information was originally posted on September 30, 2010. Please note that the article refers to events from a previous school year.

Dear Central School Families:

As you have read by now, you know that the loss of Jeanie Kustok has taken on a tragic dimension.

Children met with counselors today from Central, District 96, RBHS, and Pillars. Their support was needed.

Tomorrow is a non-attendance day for Central School students ONLY. If your child needs the services of a professional counselor, please call the school office during regular hours and someone will meet with you and your child tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a day for our teachers and staff to try to process this tragedy and to perhaps begin the grieving process.

Our teachers were valiant today. Tomorrow is a day to begin healing.

Please contact us if you need anything.

Thank you for your support and respect for Jeanie Kustok and what she means to all of us.

Most sincerely,
Janice

Ever wanted to paint the United States? Ever want to paint a tree? How about a rocket?? Now is your chance! The Central School PTO has purchased stencils (a rocket, a alphabet tree, a map of the US) for the playground area enjoyed by 1st and 2nd graders.  We will be painting them this coming Saturday at 9am, weather permitting. Please RSVP by e-mailing nessingerg@centralptonews.org. We are looking for 10 to 12 people to assist for 2 hours.
