Deadline for Box Tops!

Posted Oct 2, 2015 | Category: Fundraising

This information was originally posted on October 2, 2015. Please note that the article refers to events from a previous school year.

Central school is currently registered with three products programs that support education. We typically earn over $600 form the Box Tops for Education Program each year. We also earn cash from the Tyson A+ Program. Our PE program benefits by gaining new equipment from points earned via the Campbell’s Labels for Education Program.

Our first submission deadline for our Box Tops for Education program for this school year is 10/23. Simply tear off labels or UPC’s and send them to school in a baggie or envelope. Please write your child’s name on the envelope so that he or she may be entered into a drawing for a prize. Your child may deposit them in the collection bin outside of the school office.

And don’t forget to register your Jewel or Dominick’s frequent shopper card through elabelsforeducation.com and earn double the benefits for Central!

See the following attachments for details on how to clip, eligible products and for more information on the programs. Watch for updates on how your efforts help our school!

Target RedCardDid you know there’s an easy way to help us raise money for our school?  It’s called Take Charge of Education, through Target, and it’s helping our school right now.  Here’s how it works:  Visit www-secure.target.com/redcard/tcoe/home to designate our school, then use your REDcard whenever you shop.  When you use your REDcard (Target Visa Credit Card, Target Credit Card or Target Debit Card), Target will donate 1% of your purchases to the eligible K-12 school of your choice.  (See the website for complete Take Charge of Education program rules.)

Don’t have a REDcard and would like one?  It’s easy to apply.  Get started in person at any Target store or go to www-secure.target.com/redcard/application.

Also:  grandparents, alumni, friends and neighbors are all welcome to participate in the program.  The more people we involve, the harder the program works for our school.  If you’re already participating, thank you!

Shop Back to School Lunch Gear and Support the PTO

Posted Aug 14, 2015 | Category: Everything Else, Fundraising

This information was originally posted on August 14, 2015. Please note that the article refers to events from a previous school year.

Do you need lunch gear for the new school year? Then take a look at MightyNest, an online retailer of high-quality and non-toxic lunch essentials such as water bottles, lunch boxes and reusable food containers and snack bags.

Central PTO will receive 15% of every purchase you make from MightyNest, even though MightyNest’s prices are comparable to other retailers. Buying reusable lunch gear from MightyNest will help Central students bring trash-free lunches to school. Packing trash-free lunches benefits the environment by reducing the manufacture and disposal of one-use items (during one school year, a child typically throws out over 50 pounds of garbage at lunchtime!). In the long run,you might save money too, by not buying single-serving drinks and snacks and plastic baggies. MightyNest’s guide to their products for a trash-free lunch is here: schools.mightynest.com/mighty-living/actions/guide-to-packing-waste-free-lunchutm_source=MightyNest%20Email&utm_campaign=18903054e5-2015_08_02_Product_Waste_Free_Lunch_Guide&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_758bd87e97-18903054e5-236746653&mc_cid=18903054e5&mc_eid=8a16b521d7

Click on this link schools.mightynest.com/schools/66995, and as you shop you’ll see 15% of your purchases being set aside for Central. MightyNest also sells useful and attractive products for the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room.

The website also has links to great recipes and tips for healthy living. HAPPY SHOPPING!
