Roadrunner Yearbook Pick-Up Autograph Party

from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Central School Gym.

Come see your friends, exchange autographs, and enjoy some light refreshments. If you forgot to order your yearbook, we will have extra ones for sale.

If you can’t make it on the 16th, you can ask a friend to pick up your yearbook for you. Otherwise, you will be able to pick up your Roadrunner at the beginning of next school year.

Outstanding Yearbook

They are requesting any photo’s from the school year be sent or given to them.  They are specifically looking for photos of the Fall Family Fun Night, the Jane Addams Assembly and other assemblies.

Please put on a CD and put in the PTO mailbox, attn: Kim Frank or drop at her house (address in the directory).  Feel free to email her with any questions.

Their stock of candid shots is fantastic this year.

Calling All Library Books!

Time to search your house for those Central School Library Books!  Please return all Central Library Books back to the Central Library by Friday, May 21.  Your help is appreciated.

PTO Committee and Room Parent Sign-Up Deadline

Help us to make the 2010-2011 school year incredible for our Central kiddos!

Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) provides countless opportunities to get involved, whether as a Room Parent or Committee Volunteer. Even if your time is limited, there is a place for you in our PTO! Room Parent and Committee volunteer assignments take place this summer before school starts in the fall.

So please do not forget to submit the Committee Application and/or Room Parent Letter 2010-2011 located on the Central PTO Website. Questions regarding volunteering for the PTO next year?  Feel free to contract Erin Durkin or Tracy Sloan.

The 2010-2011 Student Directory and the 2010-2011 Calendar can be ordered.  Directory and Calendar Form The form to update the student directory will be sent out the first week of school.  Questions regarding next years Directory and Calendar can be answered by Jeanine Vaia.

Please submit forms to the Central PTO Mailbox in the main office by Wednesday, May 12th.

We are “sweet” on you!!!

It is the perfect time for our children to show our teachers how “sweet” they are!

Here are few suggestions to show how much…

Monday, May 10th:
Have the students come to school at 8:00am with a pencil to write a great big “Thanks” on their past and present teachers’ poster located on their front door.

Tuesday, May 11th:
Bring your teacher a small piece of candy/candy bar.

Wednesday, May 12th:
Bring your teacher a small classroom supply, an eraser, pen or pencil.

Thursday, May 13th:
Bring your teacher a flower from your garden or draw a picture of a flower.

Friday, May 14th:
Bring your teacher a note to share with the class about how sweet is your teacher.  To access the fun form, please click on  My teacher is sweet. . .

End-of-Year PTO Party

Our May meeting will start at 8:20 with a social coffee refill stop after drop off in the library.

If you’ve been to one, all or none of the meetings this year — we’d love to see you!!!

Stay for the meeting to hear the STATE Of The PTO.

• Hear the Good, the Better and the Best of the Year.
• Approve the Philanthropy Requests for the Year
• Hear the exciting party/auction plans for ’10 – ’11 to benefit our Artist in Residence programs
• The awards for the Staff member and PTO member of the year.

But most of all – come to celebrate the year and ourselves!!

If you need to order one please do so before the May 3rd deadline.

For after May 3rd the price goes up to $7.50.
